COMMUNITY
Community Standards
Cefa Tribal Affairs serves communities in crisis. The dignity, safety, and privacy of missing persons, their families, and Tribal communities is non-negotiable. These standards exist to protect every person who depends on this platform.
Our Core Values
- Dignity — every missing person is a full human being, not a statistic
- Truth — accuracy in reports protects lives; false information endangers them
- Sovereignty — Tribal data and Tribal communities deserve self-determination
- Safety — we protect families, survivors, witnesses, and tipsters above all else
- Privacy — information shared in trust must be protected in trust
- Accountability — actions on this platform are logged and reviewed
Do
- Submit accurate, truthful information
- Respect the privacy of missing persons and their families
- Contact law enforcement for emergencies — this platform does not replace 911
- Report content that appears false, harmful, or inappropriate
- Respect Tribal sovereignty and cultural dignity
- Use your real identity when required by your role
- Share case profiles to help families — but protect sensitive details
Do Not
- Publicly accuse or name individuals as suspects in any case
- Submit false or fabricated missing person reports
- Share, screenshot, or redistribute private case information (LE-only fields, family contact info)
- Harass, target, or threaten families, tipsters, or other members
- Use stereotypical, racist, or dehumanizing language about Native communities or individuals
- Attempt to de-anonymize anonymous tip submitters
- Use the platform for commercial promotion without approval
- Impersonate law enforcement, Tribal officials, or Cefa Tribal Affairs staff
- Scrape or harvest platform data
